We own two adjacent blocks of land in Mylor (Adelaide Hills) totaling 5 acres. The land is gently sloping former grazing land with a spring fed creek meandering through the property. Our intention is to build two beautiful family homes that will incorporate environmental design features, complement the landscape, and be innovative and unconventional. The choice of building designer was the most important decision for this project. After meeting with several building designers and architects, Burgess and Bird were a clear standout for a number of reasons. Not only did they understand our vision, they also shared our passion and adventure and demonstrated confidence and competence in being able to deliver. Burgess and Bird also represented excellent value for money when compared with a traditional architect. We initially engaged Burgess and Bird to design the more challenging of the two houses owing to various constraints such as proximity to the creek. The design process was very collaborative and their approach was respectful and professional. They also were very patient in answering all our questions during the process. Their extensive network of industry contacts who have supported the process to date has also proven to be invaluable.

The resulting design is truly stunning and has exceeded our expectations. We are extremely happy with the product and service we have received from Burgess and Bird and will continue to recommend their services to others, this testimonial being just one way we can do this.
